However, the current literature, articles, websites, videos and podcasts address mainly programmatic changes, like changes with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), or how physicians use dictation or mindfulness apps to ease workload stress.
The Calming Totems wellness program employs a sensory-based, holistic approach that can be applied day to day both at work, in high stress, quick-action situations and outside of work.
As part of the Program, participants learn basic art skills. Paint and create a personalized “totem” which they can carry and use to reflect and ground themselves throughout their day.
